Classic Solitaire (“the App”) is a single-player card game for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the App and how it is treated.
1. Summary
- We do not require an account to play.
- Game progress, settings, and statistics are stored only on your device.
- Optional custom background photos stay on your device and are never uploaded by the App.
- Optional Game Center features are provided by Apple; their use is governed by Apple’s privacy practices.
- The App does not contain third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across apps or websites.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The following data is saved locally using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and the app’s documents directory):
- Game settings (deal style, scoring mode, themes, sound/haptics preferences, etc.)
- Statistics and scoreboard entries (wins, losses, times, move counts, recent games)
- Any custom background image you choose to import (stored as a local file)
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to use Game Center or you manually back up your device (e.g. via iCloud Backup of the whole device). Deleting the App removes this local data.
3. Photo Library Access
If you decide to set a custom table background, the App requests permission to access your Photo Library. You control this permission in iOS Settings. The selected image is copied into the App’s private storage on your device. The App does not upload the image, share it, or use it for any purpose other than displaying it as the game background.
4. Game Center (Optional)
If you sign in to Game Center, Apple may process your Game Center nickname, scores, and achievement progress according to Apple’s Privacy Policy. Classic Solitaire does not receive or store your Apple ID or other personal information from Game Center beyond what is necessary to show your local display name and submit scores/achievements when you are signed in.
5. No Tracking or Advertising
The App does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies for cross-app or cross-site advertising. There are no in-app purchases that involve personal data collection by us.
6. Children
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because almost all data remains on-device and no account is required, the risk of data collection is minimal.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
