Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Classic Solitaire.

How do I change between 1-card and 3-card deal?
Open Settings (gear icon) → Deal Style → choose “1 Card” or “3 Cards”. The change applies to the next new game, not the current one.
Why can’t I move a card where I want?
Cards in the tableau must be placed in descending rank and alternating color. Only Kings go on empty columns. Foundations accept the next rank of the matching suit (or any suit if Suit-Restricted Foundations is off). If the card is face-down, uncover it first by moving the cards above it.
How does the Hint button work?
Tapping Hint highlights one legal move in cyan. It prefers useful moves (foundations, uncovering face-down cards, etc.). If no moves remain, the game will indicate that the deal is stuck.
Can I use my own photo as the background?
Yes. Go to Settings → Themes → choose the custom / photo option and pick an image from your library. The photo is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. You can remove it at any time.
Does the game work offline?
Yes. Classic Solitaire is fully playable offline. Game Center features (leaderboards, achievements) require a network connection and a signed-in Apple ID, but the core game does not.
What is the difference between Standard and Vegas scoring?
Standard awards points for foundations, flips, and certain plays. Vegas starts you at −52 points and gives +5 for each card placed on a foundation. The mode is chosen in Settings and takes effect on the next new game.
How do I clear my statistics?
Open Settings and look for the option to clear statistics / scoreboard data. You will be asked to confirm. This cannot be undone.
Sound or haptics aren’t working
Check Settings inside the app: Sound Effects and Haptic Feedback can both be toggled independently. Also verify that your device is not in Silent mode (for sound) and that System Haptics are enabled in iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics.
Does the app collect any of my data?
Game progress and statistics stay on your device. A custom background photo is also stored only locally. Optional Game Center features are handled by Apple. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
The app crashed or a card is stuck / unresponsive
Force-quit the app (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopen it. If the problem continues, note the approximate steps that led to it and contact support with your device model and iOS version.
